The Ask

For Pride 2022 Dr.Martens created an episodic series centered around protest, creativity, and nightlife connecting multi-generational members of the LGBTQ+ community to share their experiences with each other while giving them a platform to talk about the power of pride.

What We Did

SEE ME partnered with PRETTY BIRD and director Jess Kohl to produce Pride generations Part 2: Nightlife episode which was shot in New York featuring artist and former Mother of the House of LaBeija, Kia LaBeija, and visual artist and founding Father of the House of Soulja, Lee Soulja. With special focus on ensuring the crew was a reflection of the talent, and creating a nurturing environment on set for Kia and Lee to discuss the power of the ballroom scene, community and their personal journey in self-discovery.
